Padang City is the largest city on the west coast of Sumatra Island and the capital of West Sumatra province, Indonesia. This city is Indonesia's western gateway from the Indian Ocean. The city of Padang, which is famous for the legends of Sitti Nurbaya and Malin Kundang, is currently improving towards tourism development. This city has a museum located in the city center called the Adityawarman Museum, which has an architectural style in the form of a traditional Minangkabau house (Rumah Gadang), the Maharam Elephant model. In the front yard of the museum there are two rice barns. This museum specializes in the history and culture of the Minangkabau, Mentawai and Nias tribes. This museum has 6,000 collections.
